In the last five to six years, Camera technology has revolutionary and the cinema quality has become significantly more accessible. Considering that production cameras have a Super-35mm-sized sensor with a global shutter, Canon Cinema Lenses shoots 4K raw. A camera with specifications would be accessible as still photography cameras.
About the Lenses:
Still photography lenses had always been a significant investment, but the cinema lenses are in whole another dimension. Some of the cinema lenses could cost tens of thousands. The best of cinema lenses are masterpieces of optical and mechanical design. The manufacturers have designed some of the most affordable lenses and many times. It’s also a matter of re-housing an existing lens in a cine-style body. Most of the optical designs would serve well for photo or video and the mechanics of the lens would really benefit from the optimization for one or the other.
Canon L-Series Cine Prime Lenses
Canon’s Cinema EOS cameras also represent a serious push into professional motion-picture production, and to support the new digital cinema cameras, Canon now makes a comprehensive set of L-series cine prime lenses. Though these are not merely merged into a still photography lens, these lenses are designed for motion pictures.
The L-Series cine prime lenses also focus pullers that could operate as easily from the left or right side of the camera. Each lens in the set has a strictly standardized form factor, which is not just identical placement of focus and iris gears but also identical in dimensions for height, width, and length. Canon has gone so far as to standardize the rotation angle-or “throw” -of the focus ring. The focus throw for each of these lenses is an extremely long 300 degrees, enabling precise adjustments and modifications.
The 50mm and 85mm each has a fast aperture of T1.3 and the 24mm and 35mm are fast, with the T1.5 max apertures. The L-Series cine primes have over 11-blade diagrams that would render beautiful, rounded bokeh at all aperture settings. It also features the EF mount and is ideal for use with the C-Series cameras and full-frame DSLRs. They are both high-end and used by many. Though they are tough in-built they are more accessible than other cinema lenses of comparable quality. Explore through our range of Canon Cinema Lenses below!
