The NAB show (National Association of Broadcasts) just around the corner and here are some of the limited edition of Canon cinema lenses and cameras from across the world. Canon’s Sumira Primes are all metallic designed and has a soft vintage look.
Canon Sumire Primes
The Canon CN-E cinema prime lenses are known for their unique, sharp and refined look. Canon has always wanted to add more lenses to the filmmakers’ collection offering a uniquely soft and vintage look. While the resolution gets higher, the sharpness grows refined in the videos as well. The filmmakers are excited as they have always wanted to bring back the classic look by using a special glass.

- CN-E 20mm T1.5 FP X
- CN-E 24mm T1.5 FP X
- CN-E 35mm T1.5 FP X
- CN-E 50mm T1.3 FP X

- CN-E 135mm T2.2 FP X
Tokina Cinema Vista One T1.5 Primes
This Tokina lens features a single coated front aspheric element, 1.5 T-stop, zero breathing, 300 degrees focus rotation. The series consist of 6 focal lengths: 18, 25, 35, 50, 85, 105. Tokina has stated that this lens has a high resolution single coated modern optics featuring a free form design for visual activity as per the human eye. The fast T1.5 lenses with sensor coverage well beyond the full frame.
Designed for the “Cinematic Look”
As per a Canon insider, the Sumire prime lenses were first designed for a soft cinematic look and warmer color tones. These lenses have a unique optical design offering a nuanced look at the lens’ wider aperture settings, subtly modifying textural rendering for pleasing bokeh with superb expressiveness.
